Human Rights

The Ontario Human Rights Code Protects People from Discrimination in the areas of employment, housing, services and contracts. Protection from discrimination is provided based on any of several prohibited grounds, including citizenship, race, ethnic origin, disability, family status and sexual orientation. In many cases Ontarians who face discrimination are caught in a power-imbalance. This is especially so in cases where they are up against their employers, schools, city government or service providers. As a result of the experiences many are traumatized by the situation and unsure of how to address the matter.

Whether you have been refused a workplace accommodation, the subject of discrimination in employment or been refused housing or services due a prohibited ground, let us help you navigate these difficult situations. At Strategy Legal our Licensed Paralegals are well qualified to deal with your human rights complaint and if necessary, file an application with the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario to have your matter addressed and compensation awarded.

We will work with you to determine what fee arrangement suits your needs. It can be an hourly rate, a set fee for service or you can benefit from our No-Win No-Fee Arrangement.
